Alittle over a year ago i noticed my pony tail was thinner and there was scalp showing where it wasn’t showing before. During that time i started spironolactone and birth control again, as I had heard in my pharm class that it helps keeps hair on your head. Fast forward a little over a year later, I have graduated, been much, much less stressed for some time, and still taking spiro. But the thing is, I feel like my hair has been steadily thinning this whole time. From just a little bit of scalp showing on the top of my head, so much shows now and a few strands dangle from the front. And all over my head there has been significant thinning. So perhaps a medical reason for my hair loss has been the anti-depressants and anti-insomnias, as well as the spiro? Could it be that sometimes ANY western med can just have unintended side effects? Anyways, I am working with my mind to relax with whatever happens – but i am still so perplexed.
